From Wish Upon a Star... Coach James spent much time thinking that night. She was very proud of how well the team had done. She saw Danielle as a member of the team and normal young lady. This bothered her. "How can a boy so quickly become comfortable with the role of a girl? How can I become so comfortable with a boy in the role of a girl?" She asked herself the same questions time and time again.

"I wish this team could go all the way. They are a bunch of good girls. Danielle seems to be the glue that holds the offense together on the field. She is not only a good player, but has an excellent sense of the field and brings out the best in the other players. I wish she were a girl."

Coach James wasn't the only one making that wish.

Home alone, Danny got undressed, shedding Danielle from his life. This last weekend, in spite of the fear of being discovered, he had lived more than he could ever remember. As a girl he had earned the respect of his teammates for his abilities. He was somebody.

Danny glanced out his bedroom window at the fading sunset. He saw the evening's first star and made a wish.
