This is definitely a comedy of errors. James is from a remote part of Canada and has traveled to the big city, Toronto, to make his way in the world. He's met by his cousin, Krista, who takes him on her shopping errands. A quick swipe of lipstick to smooth his chapped lips and one person after another mistakes him for a young woman and soon his appearance really matches their perceptions. Ah but there is much more to it that that.

Philosophers have pondered whether life imitates art or art imitates art for centuries. For Bob, it's the former; he reluctantly agrees to play a female part in a play his wife is directing.
