Our protagonist is a private detective who likesto think of himself as the Sam Spade type; tough, hardboiled. Things have been rather difficult for a while, but that changes when Angela Burrows walks into his office with a most unusual problem: She doesn't know who she really is. Yes, she's Angela Burrows but she hasn't always been. In fact she hasn't even always been a woman. She can't remember when she was male and she'd like to be able to understand her past. Our P.I. finds her story hard to believe but she soon proves it to him by seducing him and letting him see her full anatomy.
Despite her being different from other women, he quickly falls under her spell. He wants to help her learn about her early years but can't quite work out how to do that. Angela suggest that he might want to try disguising himself as a female to ingratiate himself into her world. Having no better idea, he reluctantly agrees to her bizarre scheme.
Strangely, he starts to like his new self.
