There was actually no one to contact concerning Paula's death. There was the possibility that those men had managed to dispose of the bodies of both people killed that night and that no one would ever know about Paula's death. There would always be a link to Paula through the newspaper column, there would be no alarm bells going off to get James into trouble. James assumed that his picture was posted nationally, so until he could pay off the child support, he would have to remain in hiding. He would have to be a perfect duplicate of Paula at all times.
