Roberta to Sasha, September 25, 1993

"It has always surprised me that other women can be so cruel towards transsexuals. As women, our obstacles and battles are the same. Yet many women make every conceivable effort to delegate us to some sub-class, as if we were somehow less than human beings. I've never heard Patricia Ireland, President of Now, or any other feminist, speak out in defense of transsexuals. There are as transsexual phobic as the general population is homophobic. The behavior is quite strange for an organization that is 33% lesbian or bisexual."
