I don't know what came over me, but without any semblance of though, I took the sides of my pants in my hands and curtseyed her! "Yes Miss," I said.

Totally humiliated at my own stupidity and spinelessness, I curtseyed her again, making sure that my right foot was well behind my left as I did so. My boss clapped her hands in delight! "Very Pretty! Thank you Billi. Now? How come you only bought one pair of shoes?

With that, I stuck a foot out for her inspection. She peered at them. "Yes Well that's ok - I guess." she said unenthusiastically. Then lookd at the receipt again. "Suspender belts and stockings? Hmmm? Wearing them too? Along with the panites?"
