Upon graduating from high school David and Tom set out for high adventure in the South Pacific as cabin boys on the ill-fated freighter Scarlet Sarong. The one woman addresses the entire surviving crew on the island...

"We are a society, a community that is isolated. We will need to develop customs and mores that meet our needs. I say I will marry, but I think, if you agree that a marriage with more than one husband may be workable."

"But Sarah, you just said that sleeping with all of us would make you like a whore?" Jack protested.

"You're right Jack, I did. But I think a successful marriage could be made with two or three men and I am willing to try it if we all agree."

The men looked at each other. Sarah thought she saw daggers in the eyes of several. She continued. "That leaves the question of what will the rest do. Is it fair if I am the only female, to marry three and leave the other four frustrated? I think not. I have received your proposals, now I have a proposal for you.

"If I marry three there will be four left unattached. What I propose to do is to trransform a volunteer into a female. That will leave "her" to marry the remaining three."
